Tarun and Liz's Michigan Reception

We road-tripped to Midland, Michigan for Tarun and Liz's Michigan wedding reception hosted by the Chandrans. Our job was to bring the ronak, so our friend Tara and I took it upon ourselves to make sure the dance floor was occupied at all times, even if just by the two of us. Tarun's parents invited us to their home for a delicious South Indian lunch on Sunday before we headed back to Chicago. Fun weekend!

LA for Mac & Shauna's Wedding

My tradition of October/November trips to LA. continued

On Saturday morning, we hosted a brunch (and Michigan game watching party) at Sandeep and Chaita's house for all our LA friends who we would not see at the wedding.  Soph was on fire during the brunch and even passed out her "business cards" as people left. Our friends still fondly recall the time a polite and hilarious almost-3 year old handed them her business card.

With sweet Sophie:

Soph giving us unsolicited directions to the wedding.  I wish I had video to convey just how hilarious this was ("... and I have ONE more thing! Go up, and then jump, and then ...")

Conveniently enough, the wedding was at a restaurant in Pasadena, just a quick 15 minute drive from Sandeep and Chaita's house.

Kim and Whitney, two of my freshman floor friends from Wash U.  I loved Kim's vintage glamour that night, and Whitney was wearing her mom's old dress from the 60s/70s. Both so beautiful.

Mac, who I also met on my freshman floor at Wash U, also looked amazing.  All guys with red hair should wear this particular color combo and three piece suit to a formal event at some point in their lives:

Solana was in the wedding.  This is her with Mac's little brother, who is a heavy metal artist.  You may note his hair is long on one side and shaved on the other.  The brother wrote the entrance music for the ceremony.

 The couple:

Thanks for a lovely weekend, LA friends and family!
