Mom and Dad's Memorial Day Visit to Chicago

Pittsburgh Mom and Dad joined us for a festive (and blazing hot) Memorial Day weekend in Chicago.  We took an architectural boat tour, hosted a rooftop grill-out for friends, and made the requisite trip to Devon for groceries and yummy eats.  Mom, Dad, and Pranav also make a trip to the burbs to visit one of Dad's friends.  Thanks for visiting, guys!

On the way to the boat, we came across preparations for a Memorial Day parade.  Here are the armed forces taking over West Wacker Drive:

Pretty day to be on a boat.

Amandeep and Vari's Wedding Weekend in Boston

While Pranav was in San Diego for his friend Dan's wedding, VARP traveled to Boston for Amandeep's wedding.

Here we are enjoying a sunny afternoon with Nihal before heading to the suburbs for the wedding festivities.

Cannolis?  Yes please.

No, sir.  You cannot have my cannolis.

You are CRAZY if you think I will just give you my cannolis.

What are you willing to offer me for one cannoli?

Ok, fine. You drive a hard bargain, sir.  Just take the cannolis and get off my back.

The event the night before the wedding was a black and white cocktail party. Vinita and I quickly befriended Amandeep's Chachaji and Chachiji.

And their college age son became our mentee/partner in crime:

There was SO much dancing at this wedding.  Even the babaji got in on the action.
